Business Plan
I was involved with the set up of a community project a couple of years ago and a lot of time and effort was put into producing a business plan. Until now I couldn't sell the business plan because of copywrite issues, even though I (along with a couple of others) wrote it.
This business plan is for the set up of a fundraising shop that would have the capacity and facility to handle everything from donated items to the recycling of anything that might not be sellable.
It is a business plan that was designed for our specific project, however the plan its self would work for virtually any kind of fundraising shop you might have an idea for, from a fundraising shop for an animal rescue to a bankruptcy project.
This plan was written after a 3 year working trial as it were. The project we were running had been started up on a shoestring and had been financially precarious from day one, after 3 years of work, sweat, tears and effort the project finally closed. I, along with a couple of others was going to restart and re open the project and so with a lot of hindsight over what had previously happened, we wrote a business plan with a view to using it to re start the project.
Unfortunately we never got beyond the business plan because a couple of us went our separate ways in order to earn a living and so on. As is sometimes the case, by going our separate ways, it became harder and harder to get everyone together and continue the project until those of us left had no choice but to call it a day. The one most important resource needed for any kind of project is a small band of people to get it off the ground, once they disbanded it became too difficult for those left to re start it. I myself have now moved on and set up my own business dealing in coins.
Had we had this business plan right from the beginning, the project would probably still be around today. The plan can be used and modified
