As a nod to their ground-breaking design and heritage as the world's foremost freeski brand Armada have released a very limited edition version in the form of the JJ Zero. Only Armada's most iconic skis have made it into the Zero Collection. Created exclusively for core skiers and sold only by Armada's most valued retailers, the Zero Collection features exclusive colourways, details and premium construction not seen anywhere else in the Armada line. You won't find these anywhere else in the UK as Freeze have exclusivity on the entire collection. The Armada JJ Zero is 20% lighter than the conventional JJ making it more agile and manoeuvrable than its predecessors. It benefits from more gradual taper in the nose and tail, longer turn radius and wider contact points than the original. The result is additional float at low speed and increased control in steeper terrain. As comfortable on-piste as off it, the JJ Zero is an all-mountain destroyer which leans towards powder butters and booter landings. Because of the decrease in core weight they would also serve as a great touring option for riders who want to gain access to less accessible powder bowls and tree lines. The Zero JJ is built around Armada's Hybrid Ultra-light core, a combination of lightweight wood throughout with hardwood laminates underfoot. This creates a ski that remains agile and manoeuvrable without sacrificing edge-hold or shock absorption. The EST Freeride rocker blends reverse camber in the nose and tail with traditional positive camber underfoot. This helps to provide float in powder while retaining edge hold and control on hardpack or wind scoured faces.
