COZY cutting boards were handcrafted by our experienced woodworkers. For the production of this board we used only the high quality ash-tree wood, special non-toxic glue and FDA-approved mineral oil. Thereby your board is suitable to contact with food, looks amazing and is lifetime durable.

Due to the board’s characteristics there are few simple dos and don’ts on getting best possible experience of using your COZY board:

Dos:

• After using the cutting board wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in a soapy water, afterwards rinse the board with water and dry with a paper towel.
• Rub the board with mineral oil at least once a month to close the pores of the wood and to prevent board from drying out.
• For the best result we recommend you to use a mix of a mineral oil with a bee wax.
• Remember to rub an oil from all sides of the cutting board since rubbing only one side may cause curving of the board.
• Store and dry your board always vertically.
• Keep the cutting board at least 3 feet far from heat sources.

Don’ts:

 

• Do not let the board stay in water or highly humid for a long time.
• Do not wash the board in a dishwasher or heat it in a microwave oven.
• Do not chop or beat anything on the board. (Unless it is a special chopping block)
• Do not drop the board - it may cause cracks and scratches.
• Do not place hot objects (e.g. frying pan) on a cutting board.
• Do not use edible oils (e.g. olive, sunflower etc.) for rubbing into the board, because over time they become rancid, and will have an unpleasant smell, also it can transmit the taste of the food.
