During the East German 1964 International Six Day Trials in which Steve McQueen competed, he was never seen without his Barbour International motorcycle jacket. So much so that the US team followed suit and each bought their own to protect themselves from the harsh weather. Now in the jacket's 75th anniversary Barbour has produced this collection to honour both the jacket and the star who wore it. The new Merchant Jacket is maxde of 100% waxed cotton and has a full front zip fastening. The hem and cuffs have been ribbed and elasticated for extra comfort. It has a raised collar which has been lined with cord and fastens at the front using two press studs. There is one zip colsed pocket on the inside and the lining has been quilted for comfort. The outside has two side slant, single welt press stud fastened pockets and all press studs have been engraved with the designer Barbour branding.
