This pendant is made of natural beach pebble collected from one of the beaches along the Mediterranean coast of southern France. As shown on the last photo, it is about 1''/ 25mm long (bail included) and it comes with 16'' silver plated chain. If you'd like it more shiny, with more of a "varnished" or "wet" look, simply rub a tiny amount of vaseline/petroleum jelly on it (unlike baby or vegetable oils it will never get smelly, but it's more difficult to remove it), or ask me to do it for you upon purchase. Colors may slightly vary according to monitor settings. As most of hand made jewelry, all the pieces that I make aren't made to be waterproof but only water resistant and although they won't fall apart the moment they get in contact with water, you shouldn't wear them while taking shower or bath, or swimming. kp218
