This listing is for one 12"x12" project piece of buffalo hide similar to the picture above. These project pieces come from the hides of ranch-raised U.S. buffalo that were raised for food. The buffalo were not killed just for the hides. The skins are selected for quality and are professionally tanned in the northern U.S. They are from first quality, prime, winter skins selected in December and January of each year. The pieces come from the main body hair and are similar to the picture. The material is as soft and supple as is possible from such a thick skin. The hair on the hide measure approximately 1.5-2".
