We strive to build the most durable product, reduce raw material usage, increase safe chemistry, and improving emissions quality. We know that the most sustainable product is the one that lasts. We use life cycle assessment (LCA) software to improve where it matters most. LCA is a detailed look at our full product cycle from the point of extracting the natural resources through manufacturing, transport, and end of life. By using LCA software, we can hone in on what matters most. Our industry-leading LCA initiatives guide us to the highest impact materials we can improve. So we are targeting things like100% bluesign® approved product (we are now at 80% of outerwear, 50% of layering and other components throughout softgoods) and we moved to source 100% of our snowboard cores sustainably through FSCTM and Rainforest Alliance certification. We are also using recycled and organic materials wherever possible to reduce our impact. Every step forward can be a positive one.
