This 1950s couple in their Santa outfits remind me of nights on the pond near my house when I was growing up. Nobody dressed up quite this way, but they could have. To create this ice skating pair, I adapted and printed a vintage Christmas card image on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. The skaters measures 3" x 4" and are enameled gold on the back and sides. They would make a perfect gift for a Christmas wedding or anniversary gift, an ice skater gift or a husband ornament.
