The name of this piece is Cobra The box dimensions are 10" high, 5" wide, 5" deep Type of wood used in this piece is African Bubinga with Figured Maple for the drawer pulls. The drawers are lined with a suede material. There are no stains or dyes, rather only a protective finish, to enhance the natural wood color. African Bubinga ~ a beautiful, dense hardwood with a lustrous appearance, bubinga has a rose-colored background with darker purple striping. This wood is usually very uniform in graining and color, and the texture is fine and even. When quarter-sawn, the figure of bubinga shows considerable "flame," while it exhibits attractive rosewood graining when flat-sawn. When fully aged, bubinga has a rich burgundy red color. The trees are reported to be large, often reaching heights of more than 100 feet and trunk diameters of 36 inches. Tree is native to Africa. Figured Maple ~ figured Maple is a domestic hardwood. The sapwood is mostly a white creamy color, but some darker heartwood can be found. The wavy or curly grains produce "fiddle back" figure and sometimes a "black mottled" figure.
