Each bookmark has been created by Joan Carris, a former art major and writer of children's books and English textbooks. As a lover of all things "books", she works with handcrafted beads of glass, assorted gems, Austrian and Swarovski crystals, shells, stones, and unique lampwork beads, among others. She strings the beads at either ends of sturdy, silk cords. This style bookmark is friendly to the book's spine, useful, and beautiful.
