  • Shut off the main water supply to the refrigerator. Rotating the filter cartridge cap about 1/4 turn counterclockwise so that the handle at the vertical position. Then pull out the filter. (Note: during the removal, water may leak out of the old cartridge. Do not be alarmed, this is normal, have a towel ready.)
  • Remove the cap from the top of the new filter. Insert the new filter into the housing, and twist it to right about 1/4 turn. Turn on the main water supply to the refrigerator. Flush water from the dispenser for 3 minutes (about 1-1/2 gallon) to clear the system and prevent sputtering. Press and hold the refrigerator reset button for 3 seconds.
