These are water-loving plants that resent periods of drought and dry soils, but grouped or massed in the moist perennial border will result in a most impressive display. Plants are clump-forming with tall upright stems topped by branched terminal clusters of fragrant, creamy-white flowers. Compound, pinnate leaves are deep green and whitish beneath. . Uses/Culture: Perennial beds and borders; meadow gardens, wildlife gardens, naturalizing, water or marsh plant, stream or pond margins, medicinal and culinary herb. Blooms best in full sun and rich, evenly moist soil but will tolerate partial to light shade; avoid dry soils to prevent problems with mildew. Germination requirements: Germination occurs in 1-3 weeks under warm, moist; if germination does not occur in 3-4 weeks, a 3-4 week period of cold stratification is recommended.
