The 1 Nikkor AW 10mm f/2.8 Lens from Nikon is compatible with the Nikon 1 AW mirrorless camera series and provides the 35mm focal length equivalence of 27mm, for effective wide-angle shooting. Its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture is sufficient for low light capture and provides shallow depth of field. As it is designed exclusively for the Nikon 1 AW series, this lens is waterproof to 49' (15 m) and shockproof to 6.6' (2 m) as well as IPX6-rated for dustproofing and freezeproof to 14°F. When shooting underwater, the lens supports auto distortion control for more natural looking underwater images.

With two aspherical lens elements, aberrations are minimized and a protective glass element keeps the internal elements safe.. A rounded, 7-blade diaphragm provides pleasing out-of-focus areas and the lens' minimum focus distance is 7.9".
