I bought my start of these Louisiana Irises at a garage sale, with no name, tagged only as red. There were no photos, I just bought them on faith. I was SO pleased the first season they bloomed. It may be a species, the "reds" are Iris fulva, commonly called "Copper Iris", typically red-orange to rusty, with rarer yellow forms...... or possibly a hybrid of Iris fulva. I have not been able to make a sure identification, but it looks a lot like "Kissie"...a hybrid from the late 50's. Its description fits as well.
