• The Rose of Jericho comes originally from the desert areas of Israel, Jordan and North Africa. When it dries out in its natural habitat due to lack of water, the weak rooted plant gets ripped out of the earth by strong wind that will then drive the ball-shaped plant through the desert for kilometers.
• A long time ago, pilgrims brought the Resurrection Plant first to Europe where it became a symbol of luck and blessings that was passed down generations. Midwives would water the plant as soon as the first contractions show, and by the time it was in full blossoming it was also the right time for giving birth.
