This little plant -without being invasive--will spread to cover a fairly large area within a few years. The tiny rhizomes/bulbs would be great to plant under sod when installing a new lawn or rebuilding an old one. They will flower for about a month at the end of winter to early spring, and then will disappear until the next year-with leaves browning and going dormant usually before the grass needs to be mowed-rather like daffodils. It's never a nuisance, but keeps popping up in the most amazing places
