This piece was thrown in a white stoneware clay. It was glazed in a Translucent Purple glaze that allows some of the incised lines of the flowers to show white. Where the glaze was applied a bit thinner it shows some of the white as well. See photos. Hand-thrown and glazed pottery retains the touch of the potter with throwing lines and slight imperfections.
