Darkest of all sunflowers! Distinctive and elegant, with velvet-like crimson petals. Grows a stately 6 ft. tall with 4 to 6 inch blooms. Extremely dependable seed producer. Beautiful 5" velvety blooms that are burgundy, chestnut and bronze with a deep, rich dark center. Well branched, multiple flowered with strong stems, ideal for cut flowers. They have semi-large seeds are a favorite with birds. Dark velvety crimson blooms are accented with traces of yellow around a black center. Foliage is distinct and attractive and the plants are free branching, bearing lots of 5-6" blooms that are lovely for cutting. Plants average 5' in height.
