A T-nut, T nut, Tee nut or Blind Nut is a type of nut used to fasten a wood, particle or composite material leaving a flush surface (no exposed nut). T nuts have a long body with a flanged head giving the nut a T profile. The flanges of the nut have hooks or serrations on the prongs that dig into the material as the bolt is tightened from the opposite side.
