Hello and welcome. This is a handwoven naturally dyed woolen kilim rug. The wool is from Konya, a city in midlands Turkey famous for its rug and kililm weaving. The kilim was completed in the summer of 2015. Brand new kilim. We did our best to make sure that there was a beautiful earthly colors on the kilim as well as classic Turkish kilim symbols and motifs. The kilim looks warm and welcoming. 6.02' x 4.22'' ft (184 x 129 cm). Wool on wool. Natural dye. In 1292, Marco Polo was the first to make mention of the Konya carpets in writing when he called them the most beautiful in the world. Scholars and collectors alike, primarily for their bold tribal designs and magnificent color combinations not to mention their rarity, covet Konya rugs. Konya rugs are prized for their luxurious wool, which comes from the rural areas surrounding the city. The wool from these regions is known to be some of the richest worldwide We can show only a limited number of visuals here.
