Hello and welcome. Here is a modern design right from our workshop. Most of the carpets and rugs that we trade as vintage has traditional motifs and symbols. In our country again most of the vintage carpets in trade are traditional as well. Machine made carpets have modern designs and colors but handwoven ones are mostly traditionals. That's why when we review our stock, we check if we have enough variety to attract all tastes and choices. If we feel like we don't have enough variety, we make our own so that we can offer a carpet or a rug for everyone and this carpet is a consequence of this approach. 6.06 x 5.34 ft. (185 x 163 cm). Wool on wool. Naturally dyed wool is sourced from Konya region in Turkey. In 1292, Marco Polo was the first to make mention of the Konya carpets in writing when he called them the most beautiful in the world. Scholars and collectors alike, primarily for their bold tribal designs and magnificent color combinations not to mention their rarity, covet Konya rugs. Konya rugs are prized for their luxurious wool, which comes from the rural areas surrounding the city. The wool from these regions is known to be some of the richest worldwide We can show only a limited number of visuals here.
