There is something both ageless and quite new in this face. His eyes loom large, soft and dark and intense. Wrapped in a shimmering raku glaze/cloth, he looks with wisdom and experience and compassion. His hair and beard are created out of a mixture of very wet clay and sawdust. The skin is an applied layer of terra sigillatta (thin clay slip burnished carefully with a cloth) Size: 18" X 12" X 3" Ready to hang. Sturdy hanging wire afixed to back.
