The Artemis Jacket combines style, utility, and absolute protection from wind, rain, and snow. This midweight hunting jacket has a micro-fleece exterior and micro-fleece lining which provides exceptional lateral stretch and comfort. The heavy-duty 2-way center front zipper is easy to use with frozen fingers or gloved hands. The exterior storm fly adds an extra layer of protection against the elements. With 2-way underarm zipper vents for increased breathability and two covered chest pockets perfect for cell phones and other essential gear, the Artemis has all the features you'd expect from a top-of-the-line hunting jacket. What makes it truly different is our newly developed horseshoe pockets. Instead of incorporating an open handwarmer pocket behind a patch cargo pocket, as we do in many of our traditional jackets...we decided to create a completely new pocket style - as innovative as our award-winning waterproof fabric. The 2-way zipper is anchored at both ends and opens toward the middle. This provides a custom pocket opening depending upon the situation. If you want a traditional cargo pocket, simply unzip horizontally until you have the opening you need. If you prefer a handwarmer pocket, unzip vertically until you have a big enough opening to accommodate your hand. And when your hunt is over and you simply want to empty your pockets, unzip all the way and dump out the collection of wrappers, shell casings, and accumulated debris we all collect after a day or two in the woods. We even added mesh-lined security pockets which can be used for disposable hot packs to help warm your hands or anything you want to safeguard from slipping out along the trail. That essentially makes the new horseshoe pocket - 3 pockets in one - all combined in one low-profile housing which is easy to operate and provides custom tailoring to your specific needs. The Artemis Jacket also has 2 interior pockets with blaze orange zippers so they're easy to find.
