" Catching a View from the Going-to-the-Sun Road - Glacier NP "
DESCRIPTION
When I arrived, the air was thick with smoke from the fires in and near the park as well as smoke being blown in from Washington, Oregon and Idaho fires. Luckily it was raining in Washington and Oregon, and the next day we woke to the natural beauty of the area. Going-to-the-Sun Road was completed in 1932 and bisects the park, passing over the Continental Divide. The park is split into West Glacier and East Glacier with different geographic terrain and climates (the west gets more moisture). The park is a hiker's heaven with over 700 miles of trails, many of them where it is possible to encounter wildlife like: big horn sheep, marmots, mountain goats, deer, and even black bears and grizzly bears to name a few. Copyrighted - Belinda Greb Available Sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 13x19, 16x24. I have chosen sizes that that tend to have standardized matting and framing options. If you would like custom or larger sizing, please contact me. Each print will be signed on the back by me. The original ratio is 3:2, so sizes smaller than the 16x24 will be cropped. See additional images. There will be a .125 border on all prints to allow for matting and framing, except for the 16x24 which will be printed on 17x25 paper with an .5 inch border. Note: Print will be from the high resolution file; online image was for sized for web.
