My Handmade Yard Art pieces are custom made pieces that kids and adults love year after year! The Lazy Gingerbread Man loves running & never getting caught, but once in a while he gets tired! Now he is ready to rest on top of your doorways, atop your desk, on your outside railing or cutely on a shelf! He is the perfect Autumn and Christmas decoration for your yard, garden or home. He can be placed on display in so many areas: Outside on your fence or porch railing, atop your in door shelves or doorways, on your desk at work (or cubby) or on any surface that will accommodate 1/2 inch thick wood. Each Gingerbread Man is unique and painted with different flourishes like hearts, peppermints or candy canes. They have different white stripes and are painted by hand in a free form manner. Piece measures approximately 16 inches x 9 inches x 1/2 inch thick. Because art pieces are made handmade from wood, I make no apologies for minor imperfections in the surface or painting. You can see my painted brush strokes and I glue pieces together. Legs and arms are nailed to torso for structural stability. I seal each one with outdoor UV protective non yellowing sealer. Glue is temperature rated for extreme cold and heat. They can be used both indoors and outdoors as you choose. Please bring them inside if you expect moist or harsh weather. They are in fact art pieces. For added stability, you can add a small "L" shaped bracket (available at any hardware store) to hold the artwork onto your rail firmly or on to the back onto of your flat surface such as a window sill. As pictured, I have not included the "L bracket and he stays pretty well. Strong wind gusts could knock him off your railing without the "L bracket to hold him in place. Additionally, If you place him over a hall doorway where small kids are running it is best to attach him with an L bracket to be safe the vibrations do not jar him off the top of the doorway.
