A beautifully crafted R/C sailboat, the Discovery-II is fully built and almost ready to run. All required items are installed, including mainsail winch, steering servo, rigging, and sails. Just add your own 4-channel transmitter and receiver plus receiver battery to be ready to sail. The Discovery-II is a larger and improved version of the old Discovery 500.
Boasting a 620mm long hull, and a enlarged sail with 0.18 sq. meter of sail area, the Discovery-II is actually a hybrid that also features a small brushed motor to help you should you get into trouble or are stuck in light winds.
The Discovery-II hull is based on a ocean going racing yacht and molded in fiberglass with a gelcoat and enamel painted finish. Do not be mistaken in thinking these boats are slow and boring. In a stiff breeze they can be extremely quick and perform turns rapidly, proving to be very exciting.

The Discovery-II comes pre-fabricated and all you need to do is connect the sail, keel, then drop in your radio system and battery! The large servo winch and steering are already set up and ready to go!
