Cummins HD Valve Springs for the 1989-1998 12v 6BT & 8v 4BT engines. Sold as a set of four (4) & set of six (6). Upgrade for intake & exhaust. If you plan on installing on intake and exhaust valves, you will need to add 2 sets to cart. The seat pressure on these springs is ~115lbs at the installed height of 1.950. At 400 lift, the spring pressure is ~192-195lbs. At 500 lift, the spring pressure is ~210lbs. If you plan on running a VE Gov spring or any P7100 gov spring kit or an exhaust brake, you will need HD valve springs. These heavy duty valve springs are required if you plan on running any application between 3200 rpm to 4000 rpm and/or also required for the safety of your engine if you install an exhaust brake kit that didn't come with the HD springs. Don't be fooled by people selling cheap springs out there. A broken spring will take out an engine
