This wood has a swirling grain with knots and a beautiful array of shades of browns and golds. A black leather top is a great choice to go with this wood and the gold tooling brings them both together. Finally, adding a little more class to the desk are the antiqued solid brass drawer handles. Some of the high quality techniques that went into the crafting of this executive desk with return include hand cut dovetails and oak linings on the drawers. Perhaps the most impressive technique used is the seven stage hand rubbed finish. Done just like the French Polish of old, this finish builds coats up slowly providing the perfect antique sheen and lasting protection. When seated at this piece you have a large size file drawer on your left with two drawers above it.
