The Triple Triad cards are from the Final Fantasy 8 game that was hugely popular in the late 1990s. Card levels range from Level 1 through Level 10. Levels 1 through 5 are Monster cards, Levels 6 and 7 are Boss cards, Levels 8 and 9 are GF cards, and Level 10 cards are Character cards. The game is played on a 3 x 3 square grid of black spaces. Each player has five cards, with the object of the game being to capture a majority of the available squares by one player's cards defeating the adjacent cards of the other player.
