French Butter Crocks keeps your real butter soft and spreadable, without refrigeration. This two piece butter crock was hand-thrown on the potters wheel in a white stoneware clay and glazed in a high gloss sunny, happy bright yellow. The inside of both pieces are glazed in food safe beige glaze. A lid is decorated with a swirl which is highlighted by the glaze. Hard as rock butter from the refrigerator is not a pleasure to use. A Butter Keeper allows you to leave your butter out and soft while staying fresh. Butter goes bad when exposed to air. Butter Keepers seal out the air with water. Hold one stick of butter (1/2 c)Instruction Card IncludedTo Use- -Allow your butter to sit out until it is soft. Don't microwave soften it, allow it to soften naturally. -Pack the softened butter into the lid -Fill the bottom about 1/3 of the way with cold water. Replace every 3 days -When the lid is in the base, the water creates an air tight seal so your butter stays fresh and spreadable. Change the water every 3-4 days and enjoy soft butter anytime! -Leave on your counter and enjoy! I made these so they will look beautiful as a serving piece. -When empty place in the dishwasher, then start all over!!
