Loaded Stratocaster pickguard with Fender Texas Special pickup set. Handwired in the HDCustom shop, on the shelf and ready to ship.
The Greasebucket tone circuit adds a new dimension to your tone, the effect is that when rolled down, the tone pot reduces the high frequencies, but does not emphasize the bass. A standard tone control rolls off some high frequencies (depending on the capacitance of the tone cap), making the bass frequencies more prominent but also gives a muddy sound.

This is the pickup that redefined the Texas blues sound! Texas Special pickups boast plenty of midrange chirp, crystaline highs, and tight bass, along with increased output. These overwound calibrated pickups use Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum canceling in positions 2 & 4.
