This kit converts regular ceiling fan into a remote controllable one. This remote control is designed to separately control your ceiling fan speed and light. The screen displays HI, MED, LOW, OFF modes to control the fan speed and off. It has both fan and light timer button to program the fan and light. Question: Can you use the remote or the wall switch to turn on and off the light or is it just the remote. The current control I have you have to leave the wall
Answer: Yes. You have to leave the wall switch on for the remote to work. The wall switch is independent of the remote. You can turn everything on and off with the wall switch. The remote only works when the wall switch is on.

Question: Can this be installed on ceiling fans with flush mount?
Answer: Yes, our fan is a flush mount ceiling fan so it fits fine.

Question: I have a 20 year old Hunter. It still works great, but did not come with a remote. Do you think the age of my fan might be a problem?
Answer: No. You will need room in the area above the motor to install the antenna module. It's small but make sure it will fit.

Question: Will this remote work with CFL and LED bulbs and shut them off COMPLETELY??
Answer: Yes

Question: can this be used to dim and turn off a flourescent light on a ceiling fan?
Answer: No as fluorescent lights are not dim-able.
