We buy in starters from and authorized Grower Zonal Geraniums are Stronger than seeded Geraniums... They last longer - can handle the heat better than seeded geraniums... They grow much taller.. Main difference to see if you have seeded geranium VS Zonal geranium... On a Zonal the blossoms will not easily fall off with overhead watering - Seeded ones the petals of the blooms will fall off with the slightest touch of water on the blossom heads... Hence Zonals are much more showy Geraniums are GREAT in planters. Can be brought inside during frost or freezing temps to grow as an indoor plant Zonals usually can grow as much as 20" - 24" wide and tall... but usually more likely around 18" tall and wide However this being an Ivy Variety - It is more likely to grow 8" - 12" tall and as much as 24" or more wide Geraniums are heavy feeders and need to eat often to stay strong and provide the best plant.
