DESCRIPTION

In 1953 Juan, José and Vicente Lladró make their first creations inspired by an experimental vocation in a Moorish furnace built in their own home in Valencia. They continue to experiment with their sculptures while working in a tile and crockery factory. In 1955, they begin making sculptures relevant to their time period. In 1958, Demand for Lladró creations grows unexpectedly. This whimsical depiction of a young hobo clown who is ready to hop on the next box car to get to the next town. The marvelous pastel colors are well done with exceptional detail to the entire figure. This was issued in 1986 and retired in 1986.This was created by sculptor Juan Huerta. This figure was part of the Collectors Society and was signed by the sculptor himself. There is no box for this precious piece but will be packaged accordingly.Perfect desk accessory. Exceptional figurine in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. I cannot detect any crazing on this figure. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops. Dimensions are below.
