This fabulous brooch/pin features an altered art image of a vintage style painted Lovers Eye. I sealed the image with several layers of a special glaze and covered it with a thick Glass dome for a neat vintage style effect.

This is an artisan replica of a Lovers Eye. This type of jewelry was fashionable in the Victorian era. Lover's had their eye painted in minature and mounted into jewelry so that their identity could be kept secret. Sometimes the eyes were worn as Mourning jewelry when the lover had passed away.
