The new HL design offers a hi and low setting creates 8 power options enabling a perfect match between the power needed and the groove being cut. In addition, the durability of the head asssembly has been further enhanced with the incorporation of a surface coating which adds hardness, wear resistance, and thread durability. This work horse can cut from 1/32" to 1" in width and now do it better than ever. It has the power and finesse to easily tackle any tire from the smallest, softest racing tire to large off road truck tires and anything in between. The G1000HL is a match of incredible functionality and rugged durability. 

Unlike other groovers, this pro series groover is instantly hot.  You don't have to wait for it to heat up to begin grooving.  When you plug the Grooving Iron in it is ready to go. It instantly heats to the setting on the dial when you engage the grooving head against the tire. There are 4 settings on the dial plus the hi and low settings for a total of 8 power options.
