This is a stunningly beautiful hand thrown extra large yarn bowl made with porcelain stoneware white clay. The bowl is glazed on the inside with peacock glaze and hand painted on the outside with blue, black and white acrylic paint with hand painted details. The bottom of the bowl includes a beautiful stained glass technique where glass is melted and fused into the bottom of the bowl to create a gorgeous stained glass effect. This bowl is truly unique with all of the various techniques developed by the artist. There are sea turtles with hearts and vines across the front with hearts for extra needles and yarn. The bowl measures 8 inches across by 4 inches deep. This is an unusually large yarn bowl and it is extra heavy and flat on the bottom. This is a signed original piece by the artist Bonnie McPhail.
