Portable rocket stove that is very efficient at burning any biomass. A 2x4 12 inches long split into 1/2 inch diameter can provide enough fuel to cook for about an hour. You get a cooking stove and mini campfire all in one without the work of clearing a fire ring, feeding a large fire and cleaning it all up.
