These Self-Watering Probes are made in Austria and are the authentic version, not the cheap knockoffs made in China. They are perfect for automatically watering your indoor house plants while you are away for an extended period of time by supplying just the perfect amount of water for your plants, not too much and not too little. The Self-Watering Probes only water your plants when they require it. Once the soil in the plant begins to dry out, the ceramic cone provides water, creating a vacuum in the cone that draws water from the container of water being used. Liquid fertilizers can even be added to the water supply if required.

Step 1: Fill a container or a bowl with water. Remove the cap on the Self-Watering Probe. Place the cap and the ceramic cone in the container. Let it soak for 15 or more minutes.

Step 2: Remove all air bubbles in each piece. Press the top firmly while holding the ceramic cone and cap under water.

Step 3: Place the ceramic cone into the soil. You may need more than one cone for larger plants.

Step 4: Place the hose at the bottom of the bowl or container of water.

Step 5: Make sure the water level in the bowl or container is level or below the green cap.
