This time around The Royal Mint has chosen the adorable rogue, Squirrel Nutkin. For over a century, the spirited character has found a spot in the hearts of many, through the sign of things to come of how the impish squirrel drives Old Brown the owl to distraction - shedding half his tail for his trouble.

Royal Mint engraver, Emma Noble, has placed Squirrel Nutkin at the very heart of this coin, instantaneously recognisable, with his hairs and hairy tail captured in great detail in the coin's Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The coin will stand along with the remainder of the collection, provided in packaging inspired by the images developed by Beatrix herself.
