A fantastic Satsuki hybrid, meaning Treasure of Age. The 1" flowers bloom red in spring and fade to green over a 2 month period, hence the name. The low growing habit is more vigorous compared to 'Chinzan'. This is fantastic specimen for bonsai or landscape use in morning sun and acidic soil. Satsuki Azaleas are known for their prized flowers and small evergreen leaves. Easy to grow. They make excellent bonsai trees.
