This sandblaster foot pedal was design specifically for pressure pot blasters. Most of these have 1/2" diameter barbed fittings coming from the sandblaster to the hose. The reducer conversion kit will connect directly to this. This unit's hose is 1/4" ID which is designed to be pinched with the foot pedal to provider variable control of the abrasive and air pressure coming out of the sandblaster gun. It also is used and preferred for glass etching and light sandblasting that most people use in garage style/sized cabinets. The hose is not something found in local hardware stores. It is a quality long-lasting, abrasive resistant hose suitable for sandblasting and rated at a working pressure of 67 PSI @ 70°F and a burst pressure of 201 PSI @ 70°F.
