• We grow over 1000 different crinum, including about 350 of our own hybrids, and on occasion we obtain an unknown hybrid that is different in some respects than others that we grow or know about.   If it appears to be unique in some way and there are enough bulbs to sell, we usually give it a name.  This one we named 'White Rabbit' because of it's ability to form new bulbs so rapidly. 
• Our original bulb was purchased on 2/06 and was 2" in diameter.  It first bloomed for me 8/08, and we replanted it after removing all of the new, small offset bulbs.  By then the bulb had grown to 3 1/3" in diameter.  On 4/09, this bulb had already produced 17 new bulbs! 
• 'White Rabbit' might grow taller or form more flowers per scape given more time to mature, but when it bloomed in 2008 it had 5 flowers on 31" tall scapes.    Flowers are about 4 1/2" in diameter.  By the second day all of the flowers are open.  This flower looks somewhat like 'Carolina Beauty' and one we call 'Summer Maiden'  (which has had 8 buds on 46" scapes). 
• This has neat, fairly erect leaves.  We have had blooms May-November.  It will quickly form an impressive clump of bulbs.  A small clump of several of these bulbs will become a treasure for decades to come.  
• Mature bulbs should not exceed 4" in diameter.  As of 9/12, it still produces 5 flowers which all open the same night or by the second night.
