Growing up, Christmas meant a Lionel train in a magical miniature world or, one year, circling the tree. I've created some nostalgic train ornaments, and will be making more. To create this facsimile of a 1929 Lionel catalog, I printed the image on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. The catalog measures 4"x 3" and the back and sides are enameled gold. It would make a perfect Christmas gift for any train lover and would look great on a garland, wreath, or tree.
